Changing Vegas LLC, the creator of Asteroid Arena!, pivoted during Covid to become an indie game development company. It's a family-owned business. Dave Thompson is the CEO and his mom, Susan Beaver Thompson, is the CMO. Recently, Mike joined the team to develop and manage our NFT and Metaverse strategy.
Jay O'Leary (Toofy) is our first Las Vegas card & NFT artist. Soon, we'll be adding more talented artists and digital creatives to our collaborative group. We have the video and casino gaming, marketing, technical, and artistic expertise to take Asteroid Arena! to the top - and the advisors to help us do so.
Dave Thompson
CEO & Game Creator
Dave, a Millennial, has been playing strategy card games all his life. For the last 10 years, he's been a high-limit table games dealer in Las Vegas. Boy, does he have stories to tell! He knows what Las Vegas players want and he's determined to bring video games into casinos. He's also enjoyed teaching break-in dealers, helping to place them in top Las Vegas casinos. Comedy is one of his passions.
Dave holds a dual B.A. in Communications and Psychology from Iowa State University, and is an excellent speaker. He simply loves gaming.
Susan Beaver Thompson
CMO & Deal Maker
Susan Beaver Thompson has been in corporate and entrepreneurial Marketing and Business Development for 30 years. She ran the Entrepreneur of the Year Program at Ernst & Young LLP, and has helped dozens of startups launch and grow their businesses. At MidAmerican Energy, she negotiated million dollar alliances.
Susan was Managing Editor of a community newspaper and a regional news portal in Virginia. She holds a Masters in Business Writing from Cal Poly and a B.A. in Communications from UCSB. Susan also taught content writing and strategy on the college level.
Mike Mingucci
NFT & Metaverse Strategist and Manager
Having been active in the crypto space since 2014, Mike will be handling all aspects of The Asteroid Arena! NFT Collection. As a former professional artist and photographer for Gaylord National and Opryland, Mike’s life experience parallels the convergence of art and the blockchain. He operates as a bridge between both worlds.
Mike is a WAX blockchain influencer and is well known within The Uplift Community within the Minecraft metaverse. Some of his recent work includes designing NFT drops for glass blower Jerome Baker and spectral artist JumbieArt.
